As part of the festival we are running a Battle of the Bands competition for secondary school aged teenagers. We are currently inviting entries to the competition. Here's how to enter:

• Send a video of one song (cover or original is fine) to ballaghdreamartsfest@gmail.com (you-tube link is preferred, or dropbox/google drive download links will also be accepted).
• Include the name of the band, and the names and dates of birth of each of the band members.
• Include a contact phone number.

Entries close on 1st June 2023.

Battle of the Bands competition Rules:

• Bands must include at least 2 members.
• Band members do not have to be in school, but must be of school age (12-18 years old) on the date of the final, which is 10/8/2023.
• Bands must be available to play a 3 song set (covers, originals or a mix are ok) at the final in Ballaghaderreen on 10/8/2023.
• Bands who are shortlisted for the final must be accompanied by a parent / guardian of at least one band member on the night.

After the closing date for entries passes (1/6/2023), all entries will be judged by our competition judges who are all local musicians, and The Finalists will be announced approx. 6 weeks before the final and will be notified by email. The winning band will receive a recording session at Vibes Recording Studio, Drumshambo, Co. Leitrim, with one track recorded, mixed and mastered, ready for release.
